CD Release - Perfect

We want to thank everyone for making this cd release party so great!  TWM had a great time and you made us feel great about sharing our music with you!  It was a night to remember!

We want to especially thank Scott Greeson for the kind words and especially for starting the night off with some new tunes!  We look forward to helping out with his upcoming cd!

Special thanks also to Jim for running sound.  I have never had so many people remark that the sound was great.  We even had some 'the best you've ever sounded.'  We really appreciate your hard work Jim!  You kept at it even when we were distracted with food...

Speaking of food - I have to thank Vickie, Mary and Matt for helping out at the snack bar.  We weren't sure how many people would be there, but it was very necessary for someone to keep the food in order because we ended up with over 100 people coming through!  Thank you guys!

Okay - there are more people who contributed to this wonderful night, especially those of you who came to hear us, loved it and bought the cd.  We'll keep playing as long as you keep coming to listen, okay?  Great!

recording with Scott

TWM (or part of TWM)had fun recording at Sound Logic studio last night.

We were recording some rhythm tracks for Scotty G.'s new song "Behind Every Face".  Stan Wallace was playing drums, learning a whole new pattern and learning to love the click track.  Greg Brassie was on his 6-string fretless Carvin - playing to rave reviews as usual.  Scott Greeson was on vocals and accoustic guitar.  Kevin was there on lead guitar, but had to leave early - we missed you later, Kev!  I was there on keys, and trying not to sing so my vocals wouldn't get picked up on the drum mics. We ended up working for quite a few hours and went home tired, but happy with the sound.  Jeff Anderson was sitting in the producers chair (bossing everyone around) and Scott Rottler was engineering.  Brian Russell was also visiting the studio and checking out the set-up.
Can't wait to record some more!

CD release party

We will be having a cd release party on March 4th at 7:00pm.  It will be at Evangelical Covenant Church in the Life Center Building.  ECC is located on the South side of Lafayette on the corner of 350 S. and S. 9th Street.  We chose this venue because we want to be able to invite families to join us and be okay with bringing their kids.  There's also place to serve snacks, plus lots of parking - I think the parking issue was important to us, we didn't want to play somewhere downtown and make our guests walk several blocks to get to the venue.  You see how important you are to us?

Nice gig

We played at Lafayette Brewing Company's Pint Night Live! show on Wednesday night.  I had never been to the 2nd floor there before.  I had walked through the restaurant before, though.  Well, the upper floor is huge - I really liked it as a venue.  It's smoke free, that's a big deal for singers!  Also, I liked the pizza!
I'd like to play there again on a Friday or Saturday night!

CD REVIEW

I just wanted to post our first official cd review. Tim Brouk at the Journal & Courier did this little write up in the Diversions section of the paper. We hope to be featured in the TGIF section as soon as we announce our cd release party!

Here's the text of the review:

Trouble with Monday's debut CD, Fiction, is now available.

The 10-track disc of peppy, bluesy pop-rock was started a year ago at Lafayette's own Sonic Iguana Studios.

The time spent paid off with a strong release led by the voice, songwriting and keyboard work of Lee Anna Atwell, a long-time performer in the coffeehouse and church circuits. The strongest tracks are the first three: "The Way Love Starts," "Wild Thunder" and "Surfacing."

Further attention is given to this record thanks to Kevin Ludwig's splendid guitar work and Mark Molter's presence on saxophone. A saxophone is not for every band, but in Trouble with Monday's case, it's a boost. It gives an added texture and helps set it apart from others.

Fiction is for sale at Barnes & Noble Booksellers and McGuire Music, or log on to www.troublewithmonday.com to order a copy.

Here's to our first review! Yeah!

All band members should be able to post to this blog now.  I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas - enjoy your time off from the band, we'll be back at work soon!

Welcome to the new home page blog...

Hey all you band people (or is it banned people?) Well, whichever it is - welcome to the Trouble With Monday site. We are currently ready to release our new cd - Fiction!

We have already been the featured artist of the week on WBAA at Purdue University. That was cool. They played 3 of our songs - the 3 longest songs on the cd. The ones that everyone said would never see radio play because they were too long! Well, look at us now!!!

We are booking gigs for the spring and summer right now. The calendar should be updated beginning in January. Check back for new calendar dates then. Also, the cd should be available at Barnes & Nobles soon.

We will be having a cd release party in January also. We are in negotiations with a venue.

Please feel free to post a comment - tell our webmaster to get those MP3s posted!
